While this might produce more volume for a few seconds, it can also cause vocal fatigue, hoarseness, discomfort, dysphonia, and the feeling that your voice stops responding after singing just one song. Vocal projection isn't just about singing louder. It consists of learning to use the body's resonating cavities so that sound travels farther without shouting. The face, nose, lips, cheeks, mouth, and chest all act as resonating spaces that can amplify the voice when used correctly. During this class, you will practice exercises with the consonant "M" to awaken resonance and recognize the vibrations in your face. We will also work on nasality with vocalization exercises that help the voice gain presence and cut through the musical accompaniment better without unnecessarily increasing pressure on the vocal cords. In addition, you will learn a practical exercise using a glass to temporarily modify your perception of your own voice's volume. This tool can help you overcome the fear of producing a louder sound and begin to discover how much your voice can project when you stop controlling each note with tension. Your voice doesn't need more strength: it needs coordination, resonance, and tools that allow it to travel. When you learn to project correctly, you can achieve more volume, clarity, and presence without sacrificing comfort or putting your vocal health at risk. 0:01 What's happening with your voice? 1:28 Resonance, the first tool (exercise 1) 4:00 This happens to all singers 5:18 Nasality, the second tool (exercise 2) 7:53 Your brain and interpretation when singing 8:10 Trick for projecting, the third tool (exercise 3) #vocaltechnique #singing #singbetter #singing
