The Pane Quotidiano nonprofit organization distributes more than three thousand meals a day to people in need in two centers in Milan, one in the north and one in the south of the city, thanks to donations and surplus food from businesses and large retailers. In recent days, the line of people waiting to receive food has grown, and a video posted on social media showing hundreds of people on the street has gone viral. We met with the vice president of the nonprofit organization, who told us about the work they do every day and how the situation has changed in recent months due to the economic crisis triggered by Covid-19.
