BEACH HOPPING! 🏖️ Kelibia, Cap Bon

Day 166. 21km (80849kms 7yrs) With not many kilometres planned today it didn’t matter too much how slow the wifi was for uploading a vlog. I also booked some time off the bike for when I return to Europe so I feel newly energised for my last week in Tunisia. Tyres pumped again I was content to see they’d both lost no more than the usual 10psi or thereabouts. 15kilometres north along an uninteresting road is Kelibia with its string of 4 beaches and a helluva lot of development going on behind them. I bought a barbecue sweetcorn taking it to Petit Paris beach where I had a little swim before continuing on to Plage de la Mansoura at which neither bikes nor camels are allowed. I grabbed a few more snacks before taking the rough sandy track to Plage de Sidi Mansour where I hoped to camp, but even this wild beach was jam packed at the weekend. Just as I was making up my mind about hanging about to camp in the scrub or taking off to find a quieter spot, a group of fishermen arrived pitching tents and showing every sign they planned to spend the night here. Once confirmed this was fantastic news; I could camp in safety knowing there would be several people near by. As I pitched my tent a train of tourists on camels were led by, while the sun set behind us.
