This time, I'll show you how to make a tres leches cake with a fluffy sponge cake filled with Oreo cookie pieces, making it unique and different. It has a special flavor and that wonderful 3-milk cream that leaves it moist and unmatched. Ideal for a birthday or a family gathering with that melt-in-the-mouth flavor. SPONGE INGREDIENTS: 6 eggs at room temperature 2 cups all-purpose flour = 280g = 14 tablespoons 3/4 cup sugar = 165g = 9 tablespoons 1 tablespoon baking powder = 20g 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 1 pinch of salt 15 Oreo cookies, broken into small pieces 1 rectangular 22 x 30cm pan, greased with butter, margarine, or oil. INGREDIENTS FOR THE 3 MILK CREAM: 1 can of regular-sized condensed milk (395g) 1 can of heavy cream = 387ml (measured with the same can as the condensed milk) 1 can of evaporated milk = 400ml (you can use whole milk) INGREDIENTS FOR THE CHANTILLY CAKE: 1 cup of cold whipped cream = 250ml = 20 tablespoons 3 tablespoons of sugar = 55g 1 pinch of salt Oreo cookies to taste POUND CAKE PREPARATION: Sift the flour with the baking powder and a pinch of salt (set aside). Beat the eggs, add the sugar, vanilla, and finally the flour with the baking powder and salt, beat well. Crumble the Oreo cookies and add to the mixture, fold in with a spoon or spatula. Place the mixture in a previously greased baking dish (the same one you can use to serve the finished dessert). Bake at 180°C for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let it cool to room temperature. If you want to remove it from the pan, unmold the cake and place it in the pan where you will serve it before topping it with the cream. MAKING THE CREAM: Mix the three milks and beat well to make a smooth cream. ASSEMBLY: Prick the cake with a toothpick, fork, or knife. Cover with the cream and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow the cream to absorb. PREPARING THE CHANTILLY CAKE AND DECORATING THE CAKE: In a bowl, place the cold whipped cream and a pinch of salt until it begins to whip, then add the sugar. Whisk until it has the consistency of whipped cream. Place it in a piping bag or use it as desired. Decorate the 3 leches cake with the whipped cream.
