On June 9, 2026, the Center for Curative Pedagogics and the Special Childhood Expert and Methodological Center held an open webinar on "Nutrition in Children with Neurological and Genetic Disorders." Nutrition for children with severe neurological or genetic disorders often raises many questions for parents and specialists. How can you tell if your child is getting enough nutrients? How can you assess their height and weight? When is supplementary nutrition needed, and what support is available? A pediatrician and pediatric gastroenterologist discussed: how to assess weight and height norms in children with neurological and genetic disorders; when supplementary nutrition and other support measures are needed; what types of special nutrition are available and how to obtain it from the government; how to combine special nutrition with regular food; how to enrich the diet "from the common table" without special nutrition. The webinar will be useful for specialists supporting families of children with severe developmental disabilities, as well as for the parents of such children.
