Jamaica Just Found The UNTHINKABLE... 7 BILLION Barrels of Oil And They Don't Want You To Know
On April 8, 2026, shares in a small British oil company listed on the London Stock Exchange jumped 23% in a single trading day. The reason: laboratory results from 42 cylinders of sediment pulled from the bottom of the Caribbean Sea, off the southern coast of Jamaica. The chemists found butane and pentane higher-order hydrocarbons that are not produced by biological decay in shallow water. They are the chemical signature of a working petroleum system deep underground. No oil has been produced. No well has been drilled. But the evidence that something is there beneath the Walton-Morant Basin south of Jamaica has never been stronger. This video covers the full story. The 70-year search for oil in Jamaica. The 11 exploration wells drilled between 1955 and 1983, with oil shows in 10 of them. The first live oil seeps ever documented on land in Jamaica found 70 kilometres apart. The satellite imagery that showed the same oil slick anomalies appearing in the same offshore locations year after year for two decades. The 3D seismic data acquired in 2018 that revealed the Colibri prospect 406 million barrels, mean case, independently certified. The investor presentation at Jamaica's High Commission in London. The social media firestorm of 2024. The regulatory approvals. The seabed survey vessel. And the lab results that just moved the market. We also cover the Guyana comparison what it means, what the numbers actually say, where it holds, and where it doesn't. Guyana's GDP was $4.3 billion when ExxonMobil found oil in 2015. The IMF projects it to reach nearly $26 billion this year. Jamaica's GDP is currently about $20 billion. The Walton-Morant licence carries an estimated 7 billion barrels of unrisked prospective resources roughly the same geographic scale as Guyana's Stabroek Block. We also cover what this result is not. No well has been drilled. The geological chance of success at the primary target, Colibri, was approximately 19% before this survey, and is expected to rise to roughly 32% following positive geochemical confirmation still a frontier play. Drilling requires $60 to $70 million USD, which United Oil & Gas does not have on its own. A farm-out partner needs to commit. That process is ongoing. This is the honest version of the story the evidence, the economics, the risk, and what actually has to happen next. DISCLAIMER This video is produced for informational and educational purposes only. All resource estimates discussed including barrel figures, valuation projections, and economic impact assessments are unrisked prospective resources and speculative projections sourced from company disclosures, independent geological evaluations, and third-party media. Unrisked prospective resources are not proven reserves and do not guarantee that commercially recoverable oil or gas exists. Exploration results can and do differ materially from projections.
