Learning about most of the plants we see in our city every day is probably much easier than you think, since some species tend to be especially abundant in most cities. If we learn to distinguish two or three dozen of the most abundant species, we will recognize 80% of the specimens we see in our daily surroundings. We have selected the 101 most abundant and important ornamental plant species from Mediterranean, tropical, and subtropical cities around the world, which make up the vast majority of the plants in our cities. The goal is to learn to distinguish these 101 species in just 6 months in a fun, simple, and effortless way, so that for the rest of your life you will know most of the plants and trees in your city and also in many other cities around the world.
