Testing Our New 2006 JEEP WRANGLER TJ at Hunter Lake Trail Reno Nevada #4x4 #offroad #jeep

Join us as we take our newly acquired 2006 Jeep Wrangler X (TJ) on its first adventure through the rugged terrain of the Hunter Lake Trail System in Reno, Nevada! Our TJ is equipped with the legendary 4.0L inline-6 engine, paired with the rare 6-speed manual transmission (NSG370), only available in the 2005-2006 models. This combination gives us a lower first gear for better off-road control and smooth highway cruising in 6th gear. This 2006 Wrangler TJ also comes with a Dana 35 rear axle and Dana 30 front axle, along with 3.73 gears and some beefy 35-inch tires. Ever wondered if 35s work well with 3.73 gears? We dive into that question as we get a feel for our new rig. Though we didn’t face any tough obstacles today, the adventure has only begun! The Hunter Lake Trail System offers a stunning mix of desert and forest landscapes, making it one of the best off-road trails near Reno. So, buckle up for an unforgettable ride and enjoy the breathtaking views as we explore this beautiful trail!
