1986 Commonwealth Games held in Scotland (rowing at Strathclyde Park) Mens single sculls final. Crosswind from the camera side makes water quite difficult in 3rd 500m (especially in a single). Videoed from BBC coverage at the time and has been on a VHS tape for 34 years! Steve Redgrave was aiming for 3 medals and this was his first event, he was also racing in the 2- and 4+.
