Making Pizza at Home on a Baking Steel In a Home Oven
Two Baking Steels. One home oven. A pizza every two minutes. This is the setup I use to feed my son's hockey team — 20+ pizzas in under an hour from a regular home oven. Top steel for the broiler blast, bottom steel for the finish. It's a pizza assembly line. The electric oven hack: preheat to 450°F (not higher) so the broiler doesn't shut off. Gas ovens, go 500°F.
