This isn't simply out of nostalgia, but rather an attempt to understand how modern cinema, the commercial approach, and the way films are made today have completely changed the way the character is portrayed. In the first part, I reflect on what made Superman special in his origins. A symbol of hope, simple yet powerful, with a very clear identity and a direct connection to the viewer. A character who didn't need excessive complexity to convey something enormous. However, when we bring him to the big screen, something different happens. Superman has never quite achieved a clear identity on film. Over the years, he's been given very different, sometimes even contradictory, approaches, going from a luminous icon to a darker, more distant figure, without ever finding a solid, recognizable point that consistently defines the character. Next, I present a classic Superman comic book cover and begin working with it in Photoshop to transform it into a poster. This video isn't about improving a comic book cover, because that would be impossible. That magic can't be replicated or corrected. The process is more of a tribute, a way of understanding that language and respectfully translating it to the poster format. While I'm redesigning, I explain the creative decisions, the boundaries between comics and posters, and why Superman is a particularly delicate character to reinterpret visually. These are small adjustments that don't aim to modernize for the sake of modernization, but rather to keep that original sense of grandeur and humanity alive.
