Despite the enormous visual, emotional, and cultural value of this first film, all of its posters are quite poor, lacking visual, compositional, and narrative interest, and riddled with design flaws. That's why I decided to design my own poster for the film, seeking a proposal that maintains the magic, mystery, and power of the movie, but translates it into a more cinematic and personal visual language. It's not just a simple redesign, but an exploration of how composition, light, and color can completely change the way we perceive such an iconic story. During the process, I explain the creative decisions I make, the elements I consider most important for representing this Harry Potter film, and some ideas that can be applied to both movie poster design and other visual projects. If this video gets enough support, I'd love to continue this Harry Potter redesign series, redesigning the poster for each film and analyzing how the entire saga could visually evolve from a more artistic and cinematic perspective.
