manymak ngatha Gäwa

This short video shares the voices of the boys at Gäwa as they talk about the ngatha they find around their Homeland. Ngatha is part of everyday life on Country — it grows in different places and changes with the seasons, teaching people when and where to look. As part of the Marthakal Healthy Homelands Education series, this video supports understanding of bush foods and how knowledge is shared through being on Country. This series has been developed with a long-term vision of supporting stronger, healthier Homelands for Yolŋu people in North-East Arnhem Land through holistic health, culture, and wellbeing education. Created by BARK Communications in collaboration with Marthakal Homelands and Resource Centre Aboriginal Corporation.
