Ride the Rails - Loomis Ramp
Up until April 25, 2008, the Blue Line split into two branches. The Loomis Ramp connected to the Cermak Branch, carrying passengers to 54th/Cermak. Two years after the Pink Line went into operation, Blue Line service on the Cermak branch ended and use of the Loomis Ramp for revenue service was discontinued. It is still used today for non-revenue equipment transfers.
