Blade & Soul NA Brood Chamber Vetarex Guide

A guide to Vetarex, the final boss in Brood Chamber (Hatchery). Attack Pattern: 1. Front/Back swipe (blockable). 2. 5-hit cross pattern (unblockable, causes stun). 3. Frontal uppercut (unblockable). 4. 1-hit aoe + pulls you to boss. 5. F Roll to iframe the follow up frontal push attack (unblockable). 6. Expanding frontal burst attack (x3), (unblockable, causes stun/knocks back). Dark Energy: Look for a lit up egg. The tank needs to face the boss in the orb's trajectory path. Apply Deep Wound as insurance. Special Attack: Happens 30s into the fight. Targets furthest via dark beam attack and triggers 5-hit aoe. Target + everyone else group up on the boss. Mechanics: 70%/40% NM 70% 1. Jumps to the centre + shockwave. 2. Marks furthest player when prompted by the message, "Vetarex has his sights on someone". 3. Pulls everyone in. 4. Move away from other people and jump to remove the yellow shield. 5. x3 shockwaves. Use HM block. 6. The Boss will daze the marker and aim 1 180 degree aoe towards them. Marker can go behind the egg to cheese the range of the aoe. 7. 1-hit room wide aoe. 8. CC (stun is recommended). 9. Group up and push the boss towards an egg. Avoid dark puddles. 10. Move away from the 18m death zone the boss creates. 11. Vetarex jumps to the middle and creates a shockwave attack. 12. Ends phase with room wide 5-hit aoe. 40% Same as 70% phase except he fires two 180-degree aoes at the marker. Tips: The boss enrages upon absorbing two dark puddles. Gold puddles stack as mechanic damage. Special attack only happens after 30s if not pushed into mechanics. Do not use aoe attacks when pushing the boss into the egg. The marker can cheese the 180-degree aoes by hiding behind an egg.
