FLOATING on GLASS | Best Paddle in the West | HOSMER LAKE | Bend Oregon Adventures

Hey All Adventure Travelers, I've been waiting for over a year to plan this hiking / paddle dream expedition. Finally made it out to Hosmer Lake, Oregon — and it was everything I hoped for. This 4K travel video shot with my Insta 360 camera and I-Phone, captures our paddle boarding journey through the lily-covered waters of the lake, into Quinn Creek, and up to the spring-fed cascades that feel like a private world tucked beneath the peaks of the Cascades. You’ll see why I called this video Paddle Dream — from the crystal clear water where you can spot trout swimming beneath your board, to the landscape framed by many majestic mountains: such as Mt. Bachelor, South Sister and Broken Top, as well. The lake itself is rich with lake grasses, reeds, and wild vegetation that create vibrant green channels guiding you deeper into this nature paradise! We cold plunged the spring waterholes of the creek and got excellent underwater footage for viewing. This was my favorite hike / paddle expedition for 2025. Info: Hosmer Lake is a non-motorized lake located about an hour from Bend, Oregon, accessible via Cascade Lakes Highway. There's a small dock for launching paddle boards, kayaks, and canoes. A day-use parking area is available at South Campground, with vault toilets nearby. This area is best explored during summer and early fall, when water levels are ideal, skies are clear, and the weather is warm but not windy — calm mornings are especially peaceful for paddling. What to bring : I brought along a lightweight paddle board, dry bag, polarized sunglasses, water shoes, and of course, a camera to capture it all.
