Inspector Wexford - A Sleeping Life

Taken from the VHS cover: The body of Rhoda Comfrey is found on a lonely path beside a canal. Detective Chief Inspector Reg Wexford is assigned to the enquiry but the dead, in this case, tell no tales. He has only her name and a 20 year old photograph and , despite vigorous investigation on his part, little materialises about her which could lead to the arrest of her killer. In frustration, Wexford goes to France, his spiritual home, where he meets his old friend, Commissioner Pierre Laquin. A meeting of minds brings the clues which expose the motives, the method and the murderer.
