Cameron Thorne is Changing What it Means To Be A Middle Blocker
Cameron Thorne is the only middle to make the 1st Team All-American list in the NCAA this season. Cameron hit a whopping .521 on the season with 201 kills. At just 6'4, the exceptional UCLA Bruin is demonstrating that you don't need to be the tallest player on your team to dominate in the middle. Thorne has all the abilities of the 7'0 giants, in a smaller, but more agile frame. His ability to get vertical extremely quickly, move side to side, and hit a variety of sets that come his way make him an incredible asset on the court. Thorne was selected as one of the 32 members of the preliminary VNL roster for the USMNT. While Thorne is one of several middles on the list, I just wanted to remind everyone how special he is, and if given the opportunity on this stage, that he will shine against the biggest competition as he's done his whole career. If you want to watch the men's team compete this summer in Chicago, you can purchase tickets here - https://tickets.volleyballworld.com/c.... Thanks for watching the video, let me know in the comments what yours thoughts are on Cameron Thorne's potential in the VNL, and for the men's national team after his UCLA career is over.
