The two passenger cars were pushed to the side in the collision and landed partially in the guardrail. Only the drivers were seated in each of the vehicles involved. The 27-year-old Golf driver, the 39-year-old OPEL driver, and the 34-year-old driver of the flatbed truck each suffered only minor injuries, the same as the suspected driver of the truck who caused the accident. The driver of the tanker escaped uninjured. The recovery company Kollmer was called in with four tow trucks.
