“How could I believe this?” I've heard this question in my head many times. And the truth is, I didn't enter into something that initially sounded absurd. I entered into something that provided answers when I needed them most. In this episode, I share the story of my daughter's illness, the search for a diagnosis, helplessness, fear, and hope. I also talk about my first encounter with Total Biology and why certain ideas can seem incredibly convincing, especially when someone is in crisis. This isn't an episode about "stupid people" who fell for something. This is an episode about how hope works. About the need to regain influence when we feel helpless. About how authority, a sense of influence, and hope can make some answers seem convincing.
