J’ai construit un synthé audio… avec des circuits CMOS !

Today, we're making CMOS circuits sing. In this video, I'm building a pattern-based audio synthesizer entirely on a breadboard, combining three legendary circuits: the CD4046 (VCO), the CD4017 (sequencer), and the NE555 (clock). The result: a small, raw, lively, expressive synth… and incredibly fun to tinker with. Together, we'll explore: 🎛️ how the CD4046 generates the sound, 🔁 how the CD4017 creates melodic patterns, ⏱️ how the NE555 sets the tempo, 🔊 and how the LM386 amplifies everything to drive a speaker. I'll show you the complete circuit, the schematic, the breadboard layout… and of course: the sound demonstration, with variations in speed and pitch, and even a few "gaps" in the pattern to make it sound more organic. This is a simple, accessible project, perfect for understanding how a synthesizer can be built from just a few basic components. 💬 Tell me in the comments what improvements you'd like to see: a second VCO? a filter? a random mode? an LFO? I read everything, and your ideas often inspire future projects. 👍 If you enjoy this kind of project, please like, subscribe, and turn on notifications so you don't miss anything.
