Stéphane will be presenting the new Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 in its 2026 Race version. Today, we're going to talk about a magnificent electric mountain bike, the Cube Stereo Hybrid One44 in its 2026 Race version, the latest model year. This mountain bike in its Race version was Cube's bestseller in 2025. Do you think it will also be the bestseller in 2026? It's possible. There might be less demand than last year because the SLX has had quite a few improvements. The integrated display is a high-end Bosch screen, and the full XT drivetrain with the new XT 8120 brakes is a notable feature. However, the Race remains an excellent choice. This year, the Race is the icing on the cake with a €200 price drop. It's offered at €4,699, while the SLX is priced at €5,299. In terms of cockpit, it features the Purion 400 display with Bluetooth Mini Remote. The SLX has a display integrated into the top tube. For suspension, it boasts a Fox 36 fork with an Evol damper and a Fox Rhythm shock. This is serious equipment with a mixed drivetrain: a 12-speed XT derailleur. Who is this electric mountain bike for? It's truly an all-mountain bike, a do-it-all machine. The Fox suspension is more entry-level, with fewer adjustments and easier to use. We have a Fox 36 Evol fork with compression and rebound adjustments. The fork works very well and is very stiff. The shock is a Fox Rhythm. This is one of the advantages of this bike: it's easy to use. Even riders who aren't particularly technically skilled will be able to fine-tune the settings without any problems. On the SLX version, we move to Fox Performance with more adjustments and the small blue dial for adjusting the firmness. In terms of drivetrain and brakes, we have a compromise between XT and SLX components. Last year, we had Magura; this year, we have more Shimano, which makes sense. It's still a four-piston caliper with 200mm rotors. The drivetrain is 12-speed with an XT derailleur, cassette, chain, and shifter from SLX. For the wheels, we still have Newmen and Schwalbe tires. We have Schwalbe 29-inch wheels, still in a 2.6-inch width. This is standard practice for Cube. The wheels are from Newmen, a beautiful set. Cube's 2026 model features Schwalbe tires, but now on the higher-end Continental models. The motor is the Bosch Performance Line CX Generation 5, with 100 Nm of torque and 750 watts of power, activated via the app. The 800 Wh battery is integrated into the downtube and is removable. You can take it out to charge it at home. You can expect a maximum range of 140 km, depending on usage. What's different compared to the 2025 version? The changes aren't huge. There's no major revolution this year. The biggest advantage is the price, which is €200 cheaper. Another benefit is the Shimano brakes. I much prefer the feel of these brakes. The Shimano brakes are less prone to rubbing on singletrack when leaning the bike. In terms of suspension kinematics and geometry, it's exactly the same as the 2025 version. It's the same frame, the same motor, the same suspension, the same wheels. The geometry is virtually identical. The shock is horizontally mounted, and the head angle is adjustable by flipping the ring. There's also a small port for attaching a light in under 5 seconds. You can have a light up to 3000 lumens mounted directly on the main battery, which you can turn on and off via the mini remote. What type of rider would you recommend this bike for? It's a true all-mountain bike with 29-inch wheels and 140-150mm of travel. It's a real all-rounder. Whether for leisurely rides or fun on the singletrack, this bike is perfect. But this is still an all-mountain recreational bike; it's not an enduro bike. In terms of design, Cube is always ultra-sleek. This is the Full Black, Blackline version.
