Chocolate Cream Pie - An Old-Fashioned Creamy Chocolate Pie!
Chocolate Cream Pie 1 prebaked pie crust 1 1/2 cups sugar 1/3 cups all purpose flour 3 Tablespoons cocoa 1/2 teaspoons salt 1 1/2 cups water 1 (12 ounce) can evaporated milk 5 egg yolks, lightly beaten 1/2 cups butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract In a saucepan, combine the sugar, flour, cocoa, salt, water, and evaporated milk. Stir in the egg yolks. Bring to a soft boil for approximately two to four minutes, just until the filling thickens. Remove from the heat, stir in the butter and vanilla. Cool slightly, and then pour the warm filling into a prepared pie crust. Cool for one hour. Chill in refrigerator until set. If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with cocoa to serve.
