Porting My CHINESE TURBO Wastegate To Fix Boost Creep!

Fix boost creep on a turbo charger by porting out the wastegate larger. My Chinese T28 Turbo came with a really small wastegate port. In this video I'll explain what happened and show what I did to make a larger port in the wastegate to get rid of the overboost conditions I was seeing. Basically i was overboosting BAD. by 4500 RPMs with the stock internal wastegate I was hitting my 13 psi boost cut. This won't work for my low boost setup in my Turbo Exocet. So I wired the wastegate open and did a few pulls. My Megasquirt data logs showed I was hitting 6-8 lbs of boost with the wastegate open! I ported out the wastegate and then with the wastegate wired open I was only hitting about 1 psi on a full redline pull. This along with some spring modifications in the stock wastegate actuator allows me to now hold a 9.5 PSI level of boost to the redline as I was hoping for. My stock chinese wastegate actuator was an 8psi spring. However with doing some test with my air compressor I was able to find out that it was only STARTING to open by 8psi and wouldn't fully open the wastegate until 25 psi.
