Our teenage years are a special - and sometimes awful - period in our lives, and there's a lot to be said about them through the stories we watch. There's shows and movies from around the world that tell stories based on the lives of teenagers, but anime and manga creators and audiences have a particular interest in this period of our lives, to the point of seeming obsessed with it... so why is that? Let's have a look at why anime and manga tells so many stories about teenagers, and what that says about its producers, consumers, and Japanese culture. P.S. I didn't make this video with the intention of making anime lovers angry, so if you disagree with some points, be cool about it, and remain civil in the comments.
