1 Tewas 5 luka Akibat Tabrakan Beruntun di Jalinteng Kotabumi
SOUTH KOTABUMI (August 4, 2025) – Three vehicles collided head-on on the Central Sumatra Highway in Bandar Putih Village, South Kotabumi District, North Lampung, on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. The accident killed one person and injured five others. North Lampung Police Traffic Unit Head, AKP Joni Charter, explained that the collision involved a Toyota Calya travel van with license plate number F 1324 AAA, a Fuso truck with license plate number B 9318 BYY, and a Mitsubishi bus with license plate number BE 7696 AU. The Toyota Calya travel van, driven by Fajar Adi Saputra, 22, a resident of Waykanan, was traveling from Bukit Kemuning. He allegedly lost control and veered into the right lane and collided with a Fuso truck carrying flour coming from the opposite direction. The force of the impact sent the Calya tumbling to the left side of the road. The truck overturned, blocking the roadway. At the same time, a bus traveling from the same direction failed to avoid the collision and struck the truck, causing it to slide into a ditch. Travel bus driver Fajar Adi Saputra died instantly, his body trapped under the car's body. Five passengers were rushed to Handayani Hospital in Kotabumi. Two drivers survived: Fuso truck driver Aas Supriyadi, 44, a resident of Banten, and bus driver Andi Purwanto, 49, a resident of East Ogan Komering Ulu, South Sumatra. The collision also severely damaged all three vehicles. The Toyota Calya was crushed in the front and right side, with the right front wheel dislodged. The truck sustained damage to the bumper and side of the vehicle. The bus suffered a smashed window and a broken right tire. Police questioned three witnesses near the scene of the collision: Zaki Saputra, Dede Sumarni, and Zulizar. Citra Apriliani, one of the passengers, admitted to not knowing the exact details of the tragic incident until she was suddenly transported to an ambulance. However, she learned that the travel bus she was riding in was being repaired on the road due to an engine oil leak. Travel conditions were smooth and the weather was clear. The North Lampung Police Traffic Unit is still investigating the cause of the fatal accident by processing the crime scene and collecting complete passenger data. The victims are still receiving treatment at Handayani General Hospital in Kotabumi. @lampungtelevisi.com
