■ First Unveiling of Video Archives - Koreans of the Pacific War We have been conducting a video archive discovery project to collect and release materials on modern Korean history that were previously difficult to access, as they were scattered across the globe—including the U.S. National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Germany, Russia, and Japan. "Koreans of the Pacific War," which captures the images of countless Koreans mobilized for the imperialist war during the Pacific War, is the first unearthed record providing concrete testimonies regarding the lives of Koreans forcibly conscripted at that time. Although there have been many efforts to uncover the truth regarding the forced mobilization of Koreans during the Pacific War, the comprehensive truth regarding the number of forcibly mobilized individuals, the regions involved, and the extent of the damage has yet to be revealed.
