Which is better method to achieve high production of Klonji (black seed) || Crop Reformer

Klonji or black seed (Nigella sativa) is an important medicinal plant and planted on hundreds of acres throughout Punjab preferably on marginal lands. When it matures in March and April, heat may lead to its accelerated maturity. Forced maturity results into grain shriveling and klonji production is reduced drastically. In order to escape terminal heat stress, we have advised the farmers to plant this crop rather earlier in this video. Owing to reduction in temperature, starting of klonji planting from mid of October has been suggested in this video. Small fennel / black seed is a very important medicinal plant and it may be cultivated on marginal lands and light soils throughout Punjab. Kalonji / small fennel alone is no doubt a beneficial crop but its benefits may be multiplied through the production of Honey during its flowering stage. In this video, we have highlighted the installation of honey bee hives amidst the Klonji fields for the production of valuable honey consisting of nectar of klonji flowers spread all around the hives. In this way, we can not only produce klonji / black seeds but additional production of valuable honey may also be ensured. Most of the klonji fields reach to flowering stage when there is an ideal time for making honey. When flowers of black seeds bloom, there are less chances of other types of flower’s contamination. Black seed itself is an important and beneficial crop. Honey obtained from its nector is also a valuable product that has a large demand for its benefits of health. Health is wealth.
