In this cycling race breakdown, I talk about racing in the rain at a Tuesday night crit in Texas. Crit racing in the dry is scary, but at night in the rain??? Geez Louise, but it was so much fun. In this cycling video I highlight my thoughts on taking risk vs reward vs the energy it takes to stay in the pack. I had GREAT legs but by not taking any risk really, I had to use all my energy to close gaps that didnt need to be opened. You gotta know when to risk it, and when to pull back a bit. If you're a young buck, send that bike 100% of the time. But if you have a family and a job and cant get hurt...well...maybe not full send all the time.
