Existential Courage: Dostoyevski
Dostoyevski explored existential courage in his novels in a very direct and challenging manner. His ultimate view about it is that it is based in the acceptance of our interconnectedness and responsibility for exercising our freedom in a fair manner. He speaks of the challenge of active love, which is to live with openness to the imperfections that each of us shows in life, whilst aiming for mutual understanding.
