Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain: Chapter 8 - Get Some Perspective
Chapter 8 of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain focuses on perspective. It starts with the rules of formal perspective, then covers the techniques artists use for informal perspective in their drawings. The exercises include another upside-down drawing to help practice proportions based on a basic unit, plus two drawings all about sighting angles and proportions by looking at a hallway and the corner of a room. This chapter was pretty intense, both in theory and in the exercises, but I feel like I learned a lot as I produced my subpar drawings.
