It is One Day Chinese Restaurant, located right in front of Dongchon Station in Daegu. Actually, this is a Chinese restaurant that so many people recommended in the comments. So, I visited with high expectations as well. When I entered the restaurant, I found it had two floors and was spacious, making it much more pleasant than I expected. Furthermore, there was no extra charge for a double portion, and plain rice was available for free. On this day, we ordered Dadaepo Seafood Jjamppong and Uni Jajang. Honestly, I initially came with only the Dadaepo Seafood Jjamppong in mind. The seafood was plentiful, and with scallops on top, the visual appeal was quite impressive. When I tasted the broth, a smoky aroma wafted up, and I could feel a spicy yet rich flavor. Rather than the clean style of typical seafood Jjamppong, it was closer to a heavier and richer style. However, the real twist today was something else entirely. It was the Uni Jajang. As soon as I took a bite, the words "Huh? This is delicious!" naturally came out of my mouth. It was generously filled with minced meat, and the sauce wasn't just sweet; it had a savory nuttiness and flavor that was excellent. Above all, the sauce soaked into the noodles so well that the more I ate, the more satisfied I became. It was a truly delicious Jajangmyeon with minced meat that I hadn't had in a long time. As for the Jjamppong, the broth kept making me crave rice as I ate. I originally didn't plan on eating rice, but I ended up getting a bowl of rice to mix in. The result was a huge success. In fact, mixing the rice in really brought out the rich flavor of the broth even better. To summarize: The Jajangmyeon with minced meat was a Jajangmyeon with excellent balance, and the Dadaepo Seafood Jjamppong was a Jjamppong with appealing generous portions of seafood and a rich broth. Personally, I went expecting Jjamppong, but it was actually the Jajangmyeon with minced meat that left a stronger impression on me. If you were me, would you choose Jajangmyeon? Or Jjamppong? This restaurant is currently making a big fuss in Daegu for its delicious food. I tried it myself to see how it suited my taste. Jinryu is a Chinese restaurant located in an alley across from Wolbae Market. Before we begin, please press the subscribe and like buttons; it would be a great help to me. First up is the Gan Jjajang. The sweetness of this restaurant's Gan Jjajang was not excessive, and the smoky meat flavor that subtly rises with every chew was quite impressive. If you dislike Gan Jjajang that is just too sweet, I think you will be quite satisfied. Next is the restaurant's signature dish, Jjamppong. Specifically, It is the Spicy Jjamppong. The visuals alone are overwhelming. It is topped generously with shrimp, baby octopus, squid, blue crab, bean sprouts, vegetables, and finely chopped chili peppers. The broth is dark red, but it wasn't as spicy as I expected. Since it is beef bone broth-based, it has a rich and deep flavor, while the umami extracted from the various seafood... I could feel it. A subtle smoky aroma wafted up, and I could also detect the scent of smoked meat in between bites. However, the smoky flavor wasn't strong enough to warrant the name "Smoked Jjamppong," and since it wasn't very spicy for a Chili Jjamppong, those expecting a stimulating and intensely spicy flavor might be a little disappointed. However, the quality of the Jjamppong broth itself was quite good. As for the Sweet and Sour Pork, the meat quality was excellent, but the sauce had a strong sour taste, and there was a scent reminiscent of medicinal herbs in the aftertaste, so personally, I think it might be a matter of personal preference. Personally, the Gan Jjajang I had at Jinryu today had an attractive smoky flavor, and the Chili Jjamppong was impressive with its rich yet clean broth. Please share your opinions in the comments.
