Hi thanks for checking out this video how to court mount miniature medals. This series is in to parts, first video part 1 how to make the mounting board and sewing the ribbons on. Part 2 is how to sew the medal brooches and medals down. So we use PVC sign board can get from eBay and other platforms. You can use buckram too, please check out my first video for medal mounting full size to see how you prepare buckram to use. Just remember to cut buckram to the correct board size which is 4.5cm depth. Widths are as follows. 1 x Medal = 12mm, 2 x Medals = 3cm, 3 x Medals =4.5cm, 4 x Medals = 6.1cm, 5 x Medals = 7.7cm, 6 x Medals 9.3cm, 7 x Medals = 11.1, 8 x Medals = 12.6, 9 x Medals =14.2cm, 10 x Medals 15.8cm, 11 x Medals = 17.7cm, 12 x Medals = 19.1 cm. These measurements work for if you’re using black crushed velvet. If you are using other fabrics please just adjust where necessary. IE whether the board needs to be a bit bigger or smaller.
