Ep. 419 - How is this place not more famous? This Arizona National Monument feels like another planet! We spent 2 days exploring one of the most surprising places we’ve visited in Arizona—Chiricahua National Monument—and it truly felt like stepping into another world. UPDATE: This might become the next national park! In March, the U.S. House approved H.R. 6380, the Chiricahua National Park Act. The legislation now moves to the Senate for consideration. While beautiful, we think Chiricahua lacks the infrastructure for traffic that comes with a national park. Known as the “Wonderland of Rocks,” Chiricahua is filled with towering stone spires, dramatic overlooks, winding scenic drives, and trails that take you deep into a landscape unlike anywhere else we’ve seen. In this episode, we explore some of the monument’s most beautiful and memorable spots, including Massai Point, Echo Canyon, and the incredible rock formations that make this hidden Arizona gem so unforgettable. From panoramic views to narrow stone passageways and quiet desert-mountain scenery, this place completely exceeded our expectations and became one of our favorite stops.
