Five Namaqualand communities cut off from aid by heavy rains and flooding in the Northern Cape
Relief aid has still not reached five communities in the Namaqualand region of the Northern Cape, which has been cut off by heavy rains and flooding. Five people are still unaccounted for. Search and rescue teams are on the ground. A mother in Buffelsrivier had to give birth at home as she was cut off from healthcare facilities. The N-7, R-352 and R-355 have been closed.
