George Preddy - six in one day

George Preddy claimed six Bf 109s shot down on a single mission setting a record for the US 8th Air Force. Visualize that mission in the words of George Preddy as told by the authors of the referenced book. Originally released 2022 version updated with improved audio and new video. Drop tanks were most recently added. The small tanks are not ideal but maybe more game improvements will come. A drop tank discussion and downloadable game mods can be found on the IL-2 Forum website. https://forum.il2-series.com/topic/16... Can't do 4-engine bombers with the Great Battles flight sim. If the dorsal fin can be removed from an IL-2 P-51D-15 to make it look like a D-5, I haven’t figured out how. I created the aircraft skins using IL-2 templates and modified the pilot "skin". The 109s are G-14s. JG 26 was losing them in late Oct 44. Not sure they were available to other gruppen in early August. FO Cy Doleac appears to have later flown a P-51D-10 HO-E 44-14397. He was probably flying a P-51B/C at the time of this mission. B-17 54-ship formations were largely replaced with 34-ship formations in 1944.
