We repaired a carbon fiber frame. The top and down tubes were broken and there were six cracks. First, we glued the cracks, then glued all the frame pieces together on a jig to maintain the frame's geometry. Internal gluing was performed with internal expansion joints. Drying and heat post-treatment were performed. Next came external gluing and drying. Several sanding cycles were performed. Since the frame is unpainted, the decor is the carbon structure under the varnish, and it was impossible to smooth it out with putty. The carbon was sanded before varnishing. We coated the frame with matte varnish. Post-treatment was performed in an oven.
