The Youngman Who Climbed to God : Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati

Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati was a young man from Italy who lived in the early 1900s. He grew up in a wealthy family, but instead of living a life of comfort, he chose to serve the poor and needy. Pier Giorgio loved the outdoors — he enjoyed mountain climbing, skiing, and hiking, and often said that being in nature brought him closer to God. He was deeply devoted to his Catholic faith, attending daily Mass and spending time in prayer.
