Organised crime rife in Mpumalanga

The focus on crime in Mpumalanga in the past decade has centred either on poaching or Eskom. East And Southern Africa Global Initiative Against Transnational Organised Crime Director Julian Rademeyer says there are deeply embedded criminal networks that have taken root across the province, posing a significant threat to communities living around the Kruger National Park. Rademeyer says Chief Mnisi's killing is just the latest assassination of an alleged leading crime boss and shows how organised crime is interconnected with politics and business there.
