Senona Tries To BULLY Madlanga, It Ends In Disaster

Suspended KwaZulu-Natal Hawks head Major General Lesetja Senona appeared before the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry in Pretoria on 5 June 2026 and attempted to bully the commissioners, lecturing them on procedure, attacking absent witnesses, and conducting himself as though he was running the hearing rather than answering questions about the disappearance of 541 kilograms of cocaine worth two hundred million rand from a Hawks strong room in Port Shepstone in November 2021. The commission allowed Senona to finish his full statement before systematically dismantling his testimony, exposing that the key email he claims authorised his transfer of whistleblower Warrant Officer Karl Sander does not exist anywhere in the documentary record, that his own sworn affidavit incorrectly attributed an instruction to a person with no authority to issue it, and that he admitted under oath to contravening his superiors by unilaterally returning Sander to the narcotics unit while a serious corruption investigation against Sander remained unresolved.
