The Promulgation Oaths

The appointed hour was 10.23 am when President Mwai Kibaki finally uttered the words the brought the new constitution into force. And at 10.27am, the signed constitution was sealed and delivered effectively ushering in the much awaited new dawn for Kenya. And it symbolically began when the three top leaders of the grand coaltion government, President Mwai Kibaki, Prime Minister Raila Odinga and Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka took fresh oaths of office, symbolicaly assuming their mandates afresh under the new constitution.
