Morning Island Walk in a Heatwave — Stream, Lock & Weir Loop (8:30AM)

An early morning walk around the island, starting along down stream and cutting through the middle of island before reaching the lock. From there, round the far side to the weir and back across to complete the loop. The grass is scorched brown from the ongoing heatwave, but the wildlife hasn't slowed down — birdsong fills the air the whole way round. A quiet, warm start to the day. it's amazing how air cools in the centre of the island.
