The Eco + feature or Ecobee + feature allows you to save more energy by enabling the smart features on your Ecobee + Thermostat. When the Eco + feature is enabled the thermostat will learn from your usage habits and allow you save energy by turning down your heating or cooling to a more energy efficient setting. The Eco + feature will also integrate information with TOU (time of use rates) and peak electricity demand rates to save you energy during high cost and high electricity demand periods. The Eco + feature collects data over the period of a month do determine your HVAC usage habits and then after your Ecobee Thermostat has been installed for a month Ecobee will give you the option to enable the Eco + settings if you want to enable additional energy savings. It's important to note that the Eco + settings for the Ecobee Smart Thermostat or Ecobee 3 Lite smart thermostat will not be available until the smart thermostats have been installed for a month to collect sufficient data.
