Looking for a summit hike in Gran Canaria with endless views, volcanic terrain, and plenty of history? 🥾 Join us as we trek across the island's rooftops in the spectacular Los Marteles Special Nature Reserve! In this video, we'll show you one of the most comprehensive circular routes in the summit area, between the municipalities of San Mateo and Valsequillo. We'll take you on a hike across volcanic rock to reach the base of the Caldera de los Marteles itself, peer into the majestic Guayadeque Ravine (with water flowing!), and marvel at the Cuevas Blancas Dam overflowing. 💦 During the hike (over 12 km), we'll also visit historical sites like the 17th-century Pozo de Nieve Grande (Great Snow Well) and enjoy breathtaking panoramic views from the Pico de la Gorra forest ranger's hut.
