The carpenters of Schwarzwald Altholz build furniture from old wood. Some of their materials are several hundred years old and have a history. Managing director and carpenter Maximilian Riedt is constantly on the road at demolition sites, salvaging old timbers and turning them into new furniture. Reclaimed wood is sustainable, but it has its pitfalls and challenges when it comes to processing. We follow the carpenters as they build furnishings for a vacation room on a traditional Black Forest farm.
