Steam Incorporated Art Deco Weekend Celebrations - 2026 (4K)

During the 19th - 23rd of February 2026 Steam Incorporated traveled to Hawkes Bay for the annual Art Deco Festival. Steam locomotive Ab 608 was the main motive power for the weekend along with Da 1410 and Glenbrook Vintage Railway's DBR 1254 which had been stationed in Paekakariki over the summer. The train traveled to Napier on the 19th, with push pull shuttles to Hastings on the 20th. The 21st saw Ab 608 and DBR 1254 head the Hawkes Bay flyer to Woodville and return and in the evening Da 1410 and DBR 1254 lead a Murder Mystery Train to Waipukurau. Pahiatua Railcar Society's railcar RM31 also made the journey to Napier which we captured on its return from Hawkes Bay. Enjoy!
