London's Most Historic Afternoon Tea? The Golden Serve Challenge!

Step inside one of London's most spectacular hotels as we experience the Golden Serve Afternoon Tea at The Hansom, located inside the magnificent St Pancras London Hotel. Originally opened in 1873 as the Midland Grand Hotel, this Grade I listed Victorian masterpiece has an incredible history. Once the arrival point for elegant horse-drawn Hansom cabs, today it's home to one of London's most beautiful afternoon tea experiences. We begin with a selection of freshly prepared finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise, chicken with asparagus, and seasonal savoury treats, before enjoying warm plain and fruit scones served with Cornish clotted cream, strawberry preserve and an unforgettable blood orange preserve. The highlight, however, is the spectacular collection of handcrafted patisserie, including the exclusive Golden Serve tennis ball dessert. Hidden inside one dessert each day is a golden centre, and the lucky guest who finds it receives their entire afternoon tea completely free! Did we uncover the golden prize... or leave empty-handed? Join us as we explore the food, the history, the stunning surroundings and discover whether this is one of the very best afternoon teas London has to offer.
