FIRST GENERATION GERMAN BUNKERS THE POMMERNSTELLUNG

Before Hitler came to power in Germany the German Army had quietly drawn up plans for a defensive line of Bunkers facing Poland in the East. These just like those in the West and the Ost-Wall began construction around the turn of the decade. making these older than Regelbauten and OT, so what did they build there, we must not just think the Ost-Wall was all, of course they had to connect that to another in the North; the Pommernstellung. Site of heavy fighting in 1945. over 1000 bunkers were constructed, and being such a large yet relative unknown part of the war I wanted to spend a little time showing you what they were, and some of them are really impressive, and well hidden.
