Is this really a highway? We decided to have a rest day at Tobermorey Station. We ended up having the camping area all to ourselves for most of the day. The shade trees, excellent facilities, and green grass made this the perfect rest stop as we prepared for the rough ride ahead on the Plenty Highway. Liz even managed to get some of her art done. The boys also enjoyed some time getting creative while Simon bunkered down and got to work editing videos. The following day we set off at a record time to start the long dusty trek westward along the notorious Plenty Highway. But not before having to sort out a minor mechanical issue with the caravan brakes. This is a stunning drive through a remote part of the country, and we were left mesmerised by the sheer scale of the countryside. Lunch and fuel at Jervois Station before we continue west to complete the unsealed section of the Plenty.
