After a couple of days of re-stocking and resting up in Alice Springs, we headed out of town to explore this incredible and lesser-known section of the red centre. The first stop is Simpsons Gap, an east walk to an impressive opening in the central ranges. Unfortunately, Liz missed out on her art gallery as it was closed, so we continued to Standley Chasm. Standley Chasm is a privately owned section of the West Macdonnell's and wasn't what we were expecting. Once we settled in, we had a great time looking around, doing some walks, and making full use of the facilities! This incredible part of the country hasn't disappointed, and we've only just scratched the surface.
